What We Did

Our client had an existing deck, but had noticed some rot on the surface, were also only able to use one set of stairs due to the structure collapsing. Their grandchildren used the backyard and pool frequently, so they were worried about their safety. As we took apart the surface, we noticed some additional structural damage and rot. We rebuilt part of the structure, reinforced others, and rebuilt one set of stairs completely. When resurfacing the deck, we added an additional touch and 'framed' from the doorway down to the lower stairs. We finished off by adding an ornamental accent railing to surround their seating area.
